Richard Serra is an American artist best know for his monumental sheet metal sculptures. Serra is often associated with the Minimalist and Post-Minimalist movements of the 1960s and early 1970s, but has also been involved in several performance and video projects throughout his career, including his appearance at the Kitchen’s Soup and Tart, organized by Jean Dupuy in 1974, and its reexamination in 1991 for the event Burp: Soup and Tart Revisited.
