Benjamin Buchloh

Benjamin Buchloch (1941 - ) is an art historian and the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Modern Art at Harvard University, whose scholarship in art post-1945 places particular emphasis on American and European Modernism. In addition to serving as an editor of October, Buchloch has produced a number of art historical texts including Neo-Avantgarde and Culture Industry (2000), as well as Formalism and Historicity (2015). In 1980, Buchloch spoke on the topic of television as art form in modern society at The Kitchen's panel series on "Society, Television, and Art."
