Jennie C. Jones

Jennie C. Jones is an American visual and sonic artist whose work focuses on the conceptual underpinnings of modernism and minimalism and its connection to African-American history. Using a variety of media including painting, sculpture, drawing, and sound, Jones reflects on the cultures of sound and music, presenting cerebral and imaginative responses to the ephemerality of the physical and historical material she manipulates.
