Film historian John Hanhardt (1945 - ) is the leading expert on Nam June Paik. Hanhardt has worked in Film and Video programs at major cultural institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Walker Art Center, MN, the Whitney Museum, NY, and the Guggenheim, NY. Hanhardt was a panelist in The Kitchen's 1980 lecture series “Television, Society, and Art,” in which he spoke on the viewer-experience of television.
