Donald Burgy (1937 - ) is a conceptual artist whose work has spanned such diverse media as audio, video, and event, as well as the more traditional forms of drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography. As a founding member of the Conceptual art movement, Burgy has shown work in institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, NY, and the Stadtiches Museum, Leverkusen, Germany. In The Kitchen's 1980 panel series “Television, Society, and Art,” Burgy spoke on the potential of television to become art form in a technological society.
