Charlemagne Palestine is an American minimalist composer, performer, and visual artist. A composer-performer originally trained to be a cantor, his earliest works were solo compositions for carillon and electronic drones. He is perhaps best known for his intensely performed, and often ritualistic, piano works of the 1970s. For more information, please visit www.charlemagnepalestine.org
