Carolee Schneemann is a multidisciplinary artist best know for her work in the 1960s-1980s addressing discourses surrounding the body, gender and sexuality. Schneemann works in a variety of mediums and materials including painting, photography, installations, film and performance. Schneemann showed some of her early films at The Kitchen throughout the 1970's, and performed her seminal work "Up To And Including Her Limits" at The Kitchen in 1976.
