Raquel Welch
Raquel Welch is an American actress and singer. Welch’s first major role was as surgical assistant Cora Peterson in Fantastic Voyage (1966), after which she signed a contract with 20th Century Fox. Appearing in a doe-skin bikini in One Million Years B.C. (1966), images of which became best-selling posters, Welch became a sex symbol of the 1960s and 70s. Welch did not play submissive female roles typical of the time, opting to present herself as a cunning character who used her sexuality to her advantage. In 1994, Welch was a digital guest at The Kitchen’s second Electronic Cafe, Cafe Barbie.
