Ivan Tcherepnin was an experimental composer born in France in 1943. Tcherepnin taugh briefly at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Stanford University, before becoming the director of the Harvard University Electronic Music Studio in 1972, a position he remained until his death in 1998.
