Michael Nyman is a British composer of minimalist music, pianist, and musicologist. He has written many film scores in collaboration with the filmmaker Peter Greenaway. Among his performances at The Kitchen were Rock and Experimental Music with Brian Eno, and Chris Stein, in 1979, and Five Orchestral Pieces Opus Tree in 1979.
