Seth Price is a New York-based multi-disciplinary artist. Price engages in strategies of appropriation, recirculation and representation to consider issues of cultural production, the distribution of information, and the role of ideology, with a focus on the biopolitical implications of networked life. These strategies are encompassed in conceptual works that include video, sculpture, sound, and written texts. Price collaborated with Kelley Walker in 2007 for their video project developed from The Kitchen’s performance video archive, Freelance Stenographer, and was a part of the group exhibition, Besides, With, Against, and Yet: Abstraction and the Ready-Made Gesture, at The Kitchen in 2009.
