Kaffe Matthews is a sound artist and a composer working with new electro-acoustic music in relation to a variety of things and places, ranging from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to NASA scientists. Since 2012, she has worked on biocrophonics, an interactive composition that intertwines bicycles and movements with the creation of sound. Matthews is interested in the natural capacity of creating unexpected sound, rejecting canonical rhythmic compositions. Her work appeared in The Kitchen group exhibition Between Thought and Sound in 2007. For more information, please visit http://www.kaffematthews.net/.
