Miya Masaoka is a musician, composer, and sound artist. She has created music for the Japanese instrument koto, designed video and written scores for ensembles, and written compositions for chamber orchestra and mixed choirs. Masaoka’s practice is centered on her interest in exploring the interactive and collaborative nature of sound and improvisation.
