Born in Detroit, Michigan, Mike Kelley (1954-2012) is a highly influential American artist who worked in assemblage, painting, performance, sculpture, and video. His collaborators included Paul McCarthy, Henry Miller and Tony Oursler. Kelley was the recipient of several prestigious awards during his lifetime, and his works reside in many collections worldwide.
