Jean-Pierre Gorin (1943 - ) is a French film director and producer. Gorin is best known for his collaborations with Jean-Luc Godard, with whom he founded the Dziga Vertov Film Group and created Vent d'est (1970) and Tout va bien (1972). An extreme leftist who studied under Louis Althusser, Michel Foucault, and Jacques Lacan, Gorin produced work that is now considered avant-garde to the radical films of the 1960s and 1970s. Gorin participated in the 1980 “Television, Society, and Art” panel series at The Kitchen, discussing the oppositional potentialities for praxis and ideological indoctrination through television.
