Jack Willis is a documentary filmmaker and television producer whose work attempts to extend the impact of film and television into social praxis. His documentaries frequently expose the structural failures of American politics; his 1967 series The Inner Core: City Within a City is credited with having rallied the support required to pass Milwaukee's Open Housing Law. Willis spoke on the subject of social commentary through television at The Kitchen's 1980 panel series "Society, Television, and Art."
