Jenny Holzer is an American conceptual artist who lives and works in New York. Since the 1970s, writing has been at the core of Holzer's practice, first using posters, then expanding to T-shirts, plaques, LED signs, light projections, and paintings. Over the past few decades, the public dimension has become integral to the delivery of her work. The Kitchen presented her work in 1983 as part of a group exhibition, PERSUASION(S), and again in 1985 presented a screening of Sign on the Truck. Holzer received the Leone d'Oro at the Venice Biennale in 1990 and the Crystal Award from the World Economic Forum in 1996. For more information, please visit: http://projects.jennyholzer.com/
