New Video, New Europe featured recent video work by more than three dozen artists from sixteen Eastern European countries. The exhibition included forty-three works reflecting various genres and approaches, ranging from autobiography and documentary to surreal fantasy and experimental formalism. The works were presented as five discrete programs focusing on different themes, including war, ethnic tensions, and the exploration of European identity, specifically after many of the included nations joined the European Union in 2003. This exhibition was curated by Hamza Walker.
