Michael Phelan

Michael Phelan examines how communities create and repurpose language and historical and cultural models in order to fulfill their needs. With a special attraction for the American landscape, Phelan intertwines art history and the legacy of Middle America, offering the possibility to question and reconstruct history, which is eventually distributed into the landscape.
