Corey McCorkle is a videomaker and sculptor who critically analyzes contemporary neoconceptualism through theory and poetry. His work reflects on the relationship between individuals’ limited perception of reality and a greater truth, revealing the impossibility to reach illumination. He takes inspiration from the infrastructures and environments that surround him, and draws elements from Art Nouveau and New Age patterns, as well as organic and nature-inflected motifs. His work was included in The Kitchen group exhibition JUST KICK IT TILL IT BREAKS in 2007.
