Nan Goldin: Slideshows

As part of The Kitchen's literature series curated by Ira Silverberg, Nan Goldin presented three short slideshows. The first slide show was created in relationship with her 1992 book The Other Side that considered the lives of drag queens. The second included a series of self-portraits, while the third was comprised of images of her three close friends who lived with and died of AIDS: Alf Bold, Cookie Mueller, and Gilles Dusein. This screening at The Kitchen marked the first time these works in progress were seen in the United States.
