On February 13–24, 1979, Video Laughing, a screening with works by William Wegman, Nam June Paik, The Kipper Kids, and Tom Johnson took place at The Kitchen's Video Viewing Room. Curated by Ingrid Wiegan, Video Laughing was offered as an alternative to mainstream TV, with a “selection of tapes illustrating the comic uses of the medium.”
