Komar and Melamid

The duo Komar and Melamid (Vitaly Komar and Alexander Melamid) are Russian-born conceptual artists who moved to New York from Moscow in 1978. Komar and Melamid presented "Art is for the People" in 1984 and directed the opera "Naked Revolution" in 1998, at The Kitchen. They ceased collaborating in 2003.
