Merce Cunningham was an American dancer and choreographer whose innovative choreographic structures, collaborations with music and visual artists, and virtuosic performances made him one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. He contributed to ‘Good Morning Mr. Orwell’ by dancing over satellite-delayed images of himself.
