Josh Tonsfeldt

Josh Tonsfeldt is an artist based in New York who works with a range of mediums including, sculpture, media, print and video. He usually explores how his work relates to “place”— specifically institutions such as museums and galleries—and much of his work aims to restore historical and geographical context to these spaces. Tonsfeldt was included in the 2009 group exhibition One Minute More at The Kitchen that considered approaches to presenting and documenting durational action and performance, and the labor implicit in that.
