Freelance Stenographer was a collaborative video project by Kelley Walker and Seth Price inspired by the performance history at The Kitchen. The two artists began shooting video footage of a band in the beginning stages of its development after viewing various selections from The Kitchen's performance video archive, resulting in a reflection of their ongoing interest in archival and documentary footage.
