Kevin Beasley

Kevin Beasley is a New-York based artist working in sculpture, performance art, and sound installation. In his art, he combines different kinds of found materials with the intent to create works that embody their own process of creation and detach themselves from everyday cultural references. His work has appeared in the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Biennial in 2014, MoMA P.S. 1’s Greater New York exhibition in 2015, and the Studio Museum in Harlem. He has had solo shows at a variety of galleries, including Casey Kaplan, who represents his work in New York City. Beasley is a member of The Kitchen’s Advisory Board, and he took part in the performances of Scaffold Room at The Kitchen in 2015.
