Julia Jarcho
Julia Jarcho is a New York City-based playwright, director, and professor. Having received a PhD from UC Berkeley in 2013, Jarcho is now an Assistant Professor of English and Dramatic Studies at New York University, where her fields of interest include theater and drama studies, modernism, and critical and literary theory. Her playwriting credits include The Terrifying, Every Angel is Brutal, Grimly Handsome, and Nomads, among others. She is also the artistic director of Minor Theater, a New-York City theater company dedicated to performing her works. Her first academic text, Writing and the Modern Stage: Theater Beyond Drama, was published in 2017 by Cambridge University Press.
