Jessica Dickinson is a multimedia artist who lives and works in Brooklyn. Dickinson works on small groups of paintings over an extended period of time, each inspired by a chance observation or physical phenomenon. She uses custom-built rectangular wood panels verging on the square, which are scaled to her body. During the gradual development of the paintings Dickinson also works on drawings that connect to the paintings. She was a part of the group exhibition "Besides, With, Against, and Yet: Abstraction and the Ready-Made Gesture" at The Kitchen in 2009.
