Power Boothe is a painter who experiments with abstract forms and grid-systems, which he uses as guides to explore his thoughts and develop concepts. His canvases attempt to find a balance between chaos and order. Throughout the 1970s he made a number of short films, one of which was included in in Filmworks ’82 at The Kitchen. His work March Light layers light through superimposition, mimicking that process that Boothe employs in his paintings.
