Bruce Baillie is a film director and one of the founding members of Canyon Cinema, based in San Francisco. Together with Chick Strand, he created San Francisco Cinematheque, a film society for experimental films and videos. Baillie’s films attempt to represent the dimension between the visible world and the world of ideas through tinting, negative printing, matting, and superimpositions. His work was included in Film/Music II at The Kitchen in 1982.
