Peter Kubelka
Peter Kubelka is Austrian experimental filmmaker who investigates the relationship between sound and image and the power of language. In 1964, he co-founded the Austrian Film Museum in Frankfurt. In 1970, collaborating with Jonas Mekas, Jerome Hill, P. Adams Sitney, and Stan Brakhage, Kubelka co-founded Anthology Film Archive in New York. There he designed the “Invisible Cinema,” the viewing space in Anthology Film Archive. Kubelka’s work was included in Film/Music II at The Kitchen in 1982.
