You Don’t Know Where Her Mouth Has Been was the first solo exhibition by the artist Simone Leigh. It included three bodies of work that explored materiality, women’s work, and Afro-futurism in sculpture, video, and site-specific installation. Two video works in exhibit featured collaborations with artist Chitra Ganesh, featuring Kenya (Robinson) and Uhura (Tanka), with author Sharifa Rhodes Pitts. Both works incorporated musical scores created and performed by Kaoru Watanabe. This exhibition was curated by Rashida Bumbray.
