In 1981, Andy de Groat presented three pieces at The Kitchen, including Portraits of American Dancers, Dutch Circumstances (DUST), and (GRAVY) a medicine of spaces. (GRAVY) a medicine of spaces was accompanied by Julius Eastman's The Holy Presence of Joan d'Arc, and was conducted live by him.
