Pauchi Sasaki
Pauchi Sasaki is a multidisciplinary composer, performer, and artist. In addition to composing music for amplified and electronic instrumentation performed through ensemble formats, she develops real-time interactive music and self-designed instruments. In 2016 Sasaki joined flutist Claire Chase for the debut of “Density 2036: part-iv” at the Kitchen for which she composed and performed “Gama XV: Two Speaker Dresses” (2016). For this piece Sasaki played violin, electronics, vocals and speaker dress, while Chase performed bass flute, vocals, and a dress composed of speakers.
