Lisa Nelson
Lisa Nelson is an American choreographer, video artist, and renown improviser. Since the 1970s she has collaborated with a number of dance artists including Steve Paxton, Cathy Weiss, and Daniel Lepkoff. Nelson later developed a method of improvisation called Tuning Scores that she presents in site-specific environments. She is currently a co-editor of Contact Quarterly and directs Videoda, a structure for the production, distribution and archiving of videos of improvised dance.
