David Gamper

David Gamper (1945-2011) was a musician and composer of multimedia solo and ensemble pieces. Talented on a variety of instruments from piano to winds, electronic sounds to found objects, Gamper was primarily interested in the computer-manipulation of traditionally recorded instrumentation. Gamper was a member of Deep Listening Band with Steven Dempster and Pauline Oliveros, as well as of the music and video performance duo See Hear Now with Gisela Gamper. Gamper performed twice at The Kitchen, first in 1995 and then in 1996, with Deep Listening Band.
