Cookie Mueller
Cookie Mueller was an underground actress, writer, and Dreamlander in the 1970s. Appearing in many of John Waters early films, she was also a friend, collaborator, and subject for Nan Goldin. After moving to New York, Mueller placed herself as a writer and journalist maintaining several columns and criticism positions for the East Village Eye and Details. She published multiple collections of her short stories and essays in addition to a memoir entitled Walking Through Clear Water in a Pool Painted Black.
