In The Sheltering Sky, Amy Granat created new video installations and photographs that drew from themes, such as post-colonialism and post-war American existentialism, in Paul Bowles’s novel The Sheltering Sky. Staying true to her practice of distorting film, her abstract films, which feature friends and colleagues, explored the psyche of the characters and the landscape. The exhibition also featured photographs from the filmmaking process. This exhibition was curated by Matthew Lyons.
