This program featured works by the choreographer Molissa Fenley from 1989 to 1993 while presenting two new works—Tilliboyo/Escalay and Withes’ Float—that both premiered at The Kitchen. Witches’ Float was a special remounting of her 1985 work, Esperanto, and it was a collaborative work between Fenley and members of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, who joined her during the performances at The Kitchen. Along with other older works such as Floor Dances (1989) and Bardo (1990), Fenley performed Witches’ Float featuring sculpture by Kiki Smith and music by Alvin Lucier and her solo/duet—Tilliboyo/Escalay with Christopher Mattox. Concluding the two-week program, Philip Glass joined Fenley to perform his score for her 1989 work, Provenance Unknown on Saturday, October 16, 1993.
