As part of The Kitchen’s “Techno Passion Month” in March 1998, the performance ensemble Troika Ranch, comprised of composer Mark Coniglio and choreographer Dawn Stoppiello, presented three different works. Using sensors in the space and on dancers' bodies, the application of interactive technology allowed for the artists to explore the relationship between the body and machinery. Troika Ranch’s performance was technologically innovative, and also combined choreography, musical score, and theater.
