Matthew Buckingham

Matthew Buckingham’s work questions the influence that social memory acts on contemporary life, as well as the power and effects of the representation of history. His multimedia installations create a social and physical space that encourages the viewers to reflect on what is familiar based on their personal interpretation, perception, and memory.
