A Japanese keyboardist, Masabumi Kikuchi's music is a powerful combination of sensitivity and computer technology that exhibits his passion for exploring the intensity of a moment. His prolific and wide-ranging career as a jazz pianist includes work with Miles Davis, Gil Evans, Sonny Rollins, and Elvin Jones. His performance at the Kitchen in 1986 was his solo premiere of his efforts to combine computer-based musical language.
