Jabari Anderson is an artist and activist from Houston, Texas. His works focus on social and ironic critiques of how black history in the United States is often oversimplified and commodified. He combines writing with art, most clearly exemplified in a comic book series that transformed racist stereotypes into superheroes. In 2011, Jabari Anderson was included in a group exhibition, Shame the Devil, at The Kitchen, which was curated by Petrushka Bazin.
