David Horvitz is a half-Japanese, Californian artist based in New York. He works across a range of media, using art books, conceptual websites, photography, watercolors, and performance as mediums for his practice. Inspired by the 1970s conceptual artists Bas Jan Ader and On Kawara, Horvitz works often consider broad existential questions, particular those brought forth by the rise of the virtual. Horvitz was included a group exhibition, Matter Out of Place, at The Kitchen, which was curated by Lumi Tan.
