Four Sister Dances

Postcard_O'Connor_FourSisterDance_1989

In March 1989, choreographer Tere O'Connor presented the premiere of Four Sister Dances. The dances take the structure of the language of dreams, connecting the open interpretation of reading dance with the mysterious syntax of dream worlds. Burt Supree described O'Connor's choreographic practice by writing, “O'Connor creates an arcane, stripped-down dream place bent to reflect our own in peculiar ways.”
