On May 20, 1978, The Kitchen held a Benefit Concert with performances by Laurie Anderson, Robert Ashley, Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Steve Reich. Part of the Contemporary Music Series, the concert had two shows in one evening that included performances, readings, and music.
