Jack McKeever is an American musician and composer and founder of The Maid’s Room, a recording and production space based in the Lower East Side of New York City. McKeever’s music is supported by the trio of Bill Dobrow on drums, Jimi Zhivago on guitar, and Dom Richards on standup bass. McKeever’s music has been described by performer Penny Arcade, for whose production company McKeever is the “weirdness regulator,” as other worldly, sophisticated, deeply connected to the history of pop, soul, and blues, and informed by politics, sociology, and philosophy. McKeever performed a collaborative work with Chris Kraus and Penny Arcade at The Kitchen in 1998 titled Longing Lasts Longer.
