Dondi (1961-1988) was an American graffiti artist whose influence set the standard for graffiti in the 1970s and 80s. Using the tags DONDI and NACO he wrote throughout New York City. He founded his own crew Crazy Inside Artists in 1977. He is perhaps most well known for his work Children of the Grace Part 3 that stretched across three subway cars. Dondi also worked as a set designer who created backdrops for the Twyla Tharp Dance Foundation and for the iconic film Wild Style, in which he also appeared.
