“Two On Two” was a residency series for which The Kitchen hosted two artists for two weeks, enabling each to both develop performances and benefit from a collaborative feedback environment. In Spring 2001, The Kitchen selected photographer and performance artist Tai Dang and choreographer RoseAnne Spradlin to participate in the “Two On Two” project. Through this process of creation and constructive criticism, Dang produced Waiting for Juliette, a piece that explores themes of love, idealization, and disillusionment. Spradlin emerged from the critical process with Fetish, a work sourced from personal interviews regarding obsession, and performed by Walter Dundervill, Athena Malloy, and Tasha Taylor.
